Announcing Winkworth’s 2010 Always Mixing All Ways Award


Could you be in the running to win a luxury weekend break for two?


In today’s throwaway society, the Winkworth Group are bucking the trend with a prize-winning challenge to discover their oldest mixer in the UK. Proud of their long and distinguished history in making industrial mixers Winkworth are asking their customers to enter a competition to identify the longest serving Winkworth mixer still in use today.*

The mixer must still be functioning and in everyday use in order to be eligible for The 2010 Always Mixing All Ways Award, and the overall winner will get a luxury weekend for two. We are also offering 3 runner up prizes of a 'meal for two' (each prize is worth £70). All entrants will receive a £5 Marks & Spencer voucher!

The competition was officially unveiled at Total Processing & Packaging 2010 at the NEC, Birmingham. Overseeing the launch was Grant Jamieson, Managing Director of the Winkworth Group, and Chris Buxton, Chief Executive Officer of the Processing & Packaging Machinery Association (PPMA).

Grant Jamieson, Managing Director of the Winkworth Group said: “The Winkworth name is synonymous with long life and very low whole life costs of ownership. “All of our mixers have been built to last (the newest ones benefit from 3D dynamic modelling technology). Winkworth At Food Processing Awards 2010

Winkworth were represented at a prestigious event in the food industry calendar.

Managing Director, Grant Jamieson and Contracts Manager, Julian Bradshaw attended the Food Processing Awards 2010 which were held at the Hinckley Island Hotel in Leicestershire.

The reception and gala dinner was attended by more than 250 food industry leaders.
The awards are an established and renowned food industry accolade to recognise and reward cutting-edge product development, innovation and quality.

Now in their 27th year, they were held on the evening of the Appetite for Engineering conference, an important forum for the food processing industry.

Winkworth’s Famous Five Go The Distance In Reading Half Marathon

Five members of Winkworth’s staff demonstrated a steely mix of determination and staying power to complete the Reading Half Marathon.

They joined in with more than 12,000 elite and fun-runners to make this year’s event a runaway success.


The Winkworth participants were as follows: Tim Simpson (Sales Director); Kul Gidda (Technical Sales Engineer / Contracts Manager); Craig Dodd (Designer); Sheila Frith (Accounts) and Peter (“Minty”) Godfrey (Fitter).

Making his debut in the Reading Half Marathon, Tim raised more than £250 for The Mityana Charity, a Christian charity dedicated to improving the lives of people in Mityana, Uganda.

The five Winkworth employees were greeted by blue skies and applauding spectators as they competed in the town’s prestigious road running event, which began at Green Park and finished in the Madejski Stadium.
